McAlester Army Ammunition Plant is more than 45,000 acres and stores 33% of the Department of Defense Conventional Ammunition. This includes various explosive configurations, energetics, missiles, small munitions, and large ordnance. MCAAP's core competencies include Production, Storage, Distribution, and Demil. Capabilities include several large ordnances, production facilities, specialized missile production, missile integration, and missile maintenance. Support capabilities include 223 miles of railroad, 6.3 million square feet of storage, and over 2,500 total explosive storage areas. With high volume quantity capacity on several production lines, MCAAP also develops, tests, produces, and stores a variety of configurations for multiple services/third-party partnerships. Several thousand acres still needing to be developed and/or reconfigured to support multiple configurations.
